Photo exhibition, Upplands Vasby, Sweden
My first camera was a Rolleiflex, 6x6 cm, which I got from my father when I was eight years old. It was my father who introduced me to the secret of photography. For many evenings I got to be in his darkroom and learn how the images were developed on the photo paper. It was such an amazing experience that I already decided to become a photographer.
The most amazing thing about being a photographer is that the camera is like a kind of ticket to the unknown. Photographing and exploring a foreign land, street life in a city, meeting exciting people, has become a way for me to live and to feel satisfaction in taking a good picture. What is a good picture then? It is, no matter what the image is to be used for, an image that has a content, a message and which engages the viewer. Today I work as a freelance photographer. With many different assignments. There will be pictures of politicians, various events and sports. I am also affiliated with several image agencies, including ALAMY (England) and Getty Images (USA).
